FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a public practice on the home pitch in early November. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
