Larry Summers Leaves from AI Company's Directors
Ex-Treasury chief the Harvard professor is departing from the directorate at the ChatGPT creator, just several days after a batch of emails between him and late convicted sex offender the accused trafficker became publicly available.
He commented in a statement that he was "thankful for the chance to have contributed, enthusiastic about the prospects of the company, and look forward observing their development".
The prominent academic, who formerly led the Ivy League institution, stated on recently that he would be stepping back from public commitments due to his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

The freshly disclosed messages showed that Summers communicated with Jeffrey Epstein until the eve of Epstein's 2019 detention for accused human trafficking of underage individuals.
In additional comments, the technology organization stated it accepted Summers' choice to step down.

This development arrives after the entire Congress of the US legislature voted on Tuesday to approve a bill that would mandate the Department of Justice to release its records on the case.
